  Our Migration Service is a specialized service owning specific competence on inter- culturality and migration. It works on behalf both of immigrants and of locals.

In order to guarantee quality standards our activity is based on the quality guidelines
which are valid for all offices of the Migration Service of the Caritas in Northrhine-Westfalia.

Our activity is divided into the following fields:

Social advice and assistance
  • First steps towards integration for new immigrants
  • Advice and assistance for citizens of German origin coming from ex-socialist countries
  • Integration of immigrants already living here for a longer time
  • Temporary integration of refugees and reintegration in their countries of origin
  • Activity for people with unstable residence permit

    Language learning

  • Organisation of language courses with other partners according to demand

    Social integration

  • Interventions according to the different social contexts
  • Development of intercultural exchange
  • Supporting activity in order to achieve equal rights (work against discrimination)
  • Promotion of a dialogue between different cultures and religions
